Eighty-Four Asanas in Yoga: A Survey of Traditions
by Gudrun Buhnemann

This is one of my favorite books as it traces back one of the oldest lineages of Hatha Yoga.  You can follow back in time from where the Ghosh Lineage came.

Relax and Renew: Restful Yoga for Stressful Times
by P.T. Judith Hanson Lasater Ph.D.

Teacher or practitioner, this book is a gem for those interested in learning about and practice Restorative Yoga.  The instructions are clear and concise and the pictures helpful.

Anatomy of Movement
by Blandine Calais-Germain

I have a lot of anatomy books, but this is still one of my favorites.  In particular this book is good for those who are new to the study of anatomy.  Lots of wonderful drawing, clear and concise writing.  If you are going through yoga teacher training or just looking to further you knowledge this is a wonderful book to keep on your shelf!
